Jill Elfering
Jill is the Technology Coordinator at Blessed Trinity Catholic School in Richfield, MN. She has held the position since 2001. She works with individual teachers to integrate technology in a meaningful way into their curriculum while offering support where needed, from brainstorming to the computer lab. She also maintains the school network, servers and email, and offers tech support and classes about new technologies for teachers. She maintains the school’s technology budget, purchasing, planning and E-Rate program. She holds a Masters degree from Cardinal Stritch University in Computer Education (2001) and has worked in the field since 1996. She has experience with Windows systems and some Macs and maintains Windows file and print servers. She also works with Exchange Server. She has average technical skills including networking and maintenance, replacing parts, and a lot of troubleshooting. Jill attends the NECC conference each year and highly recommends it for all educators and administrators who are technology stakeholders in their schools.
Nate Jorgensen
Nate is in his 2nd year as the Technology Support Specialist at Faithful Shepherd Catholic School. He manages and services a network of 220 desktop, laptop, server computers, and other school equipment. He also manages the school’s telephone and voicemail systems. He provides support and instruction to staff and students on all aspects of technology use in the classroom and helps maintain the school’s websites. He currently has experience with Windows 95-Vista Operating Systems, MS Office, Exchange Server, PowerSchool, and various other pieces of software. He also manages the school’s technology budget and makes recommendations that help the school to achieve a higher level of technology usage. He is currently working with the administration and teachers to develop a technology plan to give the school a vision for its technological future.
